Maritime Officers’ Association is the trade union organizing Swedish officers. It was formed as late as the 1st October 2011 through a merger of two former unions. They negotiate and sign agreements for commissariat, nautical and technical officers.Among the union’s key issues include wages for accountability, good pension plan, better work and better education officers.
Membership for students at the college is free during the study period.
The international trade union solidarity is linked to the heart, as sailors in the world. Still there are many cases were sailors have very poor working conditions. Alliance wants to create good jobs for Swedish officers and are offering Swedish marines jobs through two staffing companies, SMBF AB and NordicOriental Shipmanagement AB. These companies are cooperating with foreign shipping companies.
Come and listen to this interesting lecture on the seminar day.

On January 8th a construction crane crashed into the exhibition hall that previous years has been used for SJÖLOG. Lindholmen Science Park has announced that the exhibition hall therefore unfortunately can not be used for SJÖLOG 2012. We have arranged a new exhibition hall adjacent to the former exhibition hall. The exhibition day will generally not be affected at all, and we believe that both exhibitors and visitors will see several advantages of the new exhibition location.
Sincerely,
The Projectgroup 2012

Teo Härén will lecture about inspiration and creativity, and explain why it’s so hard to be creative, but also why it is so important, and so much fun. He has written several books and gives lectures all over Sweden and abroad. Teo Härén was appointed, along with his twin brother Fredrik Härén, the ”Best Lecturer 2006/2007″. Teo Härén lives in Sweden, but has recent years worked hard from places like Sri Lanka, Mauritius, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe. In 2006, the magazine LEVA considered Teo as one of ”Sweden’s most inspiring people.”
