Formed in 1974, the Woman´s Inernational Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA Inernational) is a global organization connection female executives and decision-makers around the world. WISTA International serves as a connector for its network of more than 5,100 female professionals from all sectors of the maritime industry.

WISTA´s mission is to attract and support women, at the management level, in the maritime, trading and logistics sector.

WISTA´s vision is to promote diversity in the maritime, trading and logistics sector, empowering women to lead through their unique perspective and competencies, with the conviction that gender diversity is key in providing a stustanible future for the shipping industry internationally.

WISTA Sweden was formed in 1987 and holds two national gatherings per year: the spring conference and AMG, and a theme meeting in the autumn. Our meeting include visits to relevant companies in various parts of Sweden, often in combination with workshop and seminars.

Throughout the year we also have regional meetings that many include anything from visits to our member´s work places, attending shipping events, listening to interesting speakers or meeting in a pub, all with the ambition to develop the network locally.
